Time to feed from the flamboyant flesh of Flat 0/1 for another healthy dose of MILK on Wed 7th December. We’re going all heavy for winter (HEAVY GID) with this double-whammy:
HEY ENEMY are loud, visceral, awesome and a bit scary sometimes. Home-grown punk rock delivered with a sick sense of humour (our favourite kind). Stick your face down with Sellotape because there’s a good chance their wall of noise will blow it right off. Vic Galloway said this: “Terrifying Tayside Trio turn up the guitars loud, then turn them up some more… and when you think they’re loud enough, they turn them up just that little bit extra!”
WeCameFromWolves caught our eye supporting Vukovi at their sold-out EP launch and oh f*cking gawd they are great. Big choruses and catchy hooks that are perfect to bang your head to, reminiscent of big playaz like Biffy Clyro. It’s likely we’ll see them going in the same direction soon (arenas and worldwide kudos, not X Factor Christmas single) so catch them in our teensy flat while you still can.
To top things off and make your head froth like a fresh pint of Frosty Jacks, we have a DJ battle between Fantastic Man (David Weaver of Detour fame and Iain Stewart of Bronto Skylift) and Glasgow PodcART (head honcho Halina Rifai and Kirstin Lynn, that mental drummer from Pooch). The former are known for mixing heavy metal with ultimate cheese-pop, and the latter for their genuinely great taste in music and love of big dance beats. They have promised dressing gowns and swimwear. A delight for your eyes, ears, and private parts. Things are gonna get sweaty so come get warm with us.
The d-d-drill for the rest of the evening is as per: 75p Frosty Jack’s, cheap vodka and Mad Dog, free cookies, made-to-order pink/mint/white russians, a photographer capturing all the action, doors at 9pm and dancing till 3am.
£4/£3 entry. That includes loads of free love.
